In the Bitpalace Business Booster Webspace you have a total of 50 GB storage space (expandable in steps of 1 GB each up to 1 TB (1024 GB)). Each mailbox can be up to 10 GB by default. This is comfortably sufficient for normal applications. However, some customers manage so much email and data in their mailboxes that oversized mailboxes are necessary.

With the Bitpalace mailbox oversize option you can increase the maximum limit of all mailboxes in your webspace account up to 50 GB per mailbox. All in all, all mailboxes can only use up the storage space that you have rented for the webspace account. However, each individual mailbox can be up to 50 GB large instead of normally only 10 GB.

For the mailbox oversize option, Bitpalace charges [price]/month in addition to the web space package.

Why does it cost something if you have rented 50 GB space in the webspace package? Customers who need such a large mailbox usually use the additional storage space beyond the 10 GB. Bitpalace must therefore ensure the availability of the storage space and also provide significantly more backup storage space in its own disaster recovery backup. The otherwise common "over-commissioning", i.e. the multiple sale of the same storage space because on average only a few customers actually use the entire rented space on the same machine, is not possible in these cases. The operation of oversized mailboxes is very expensive for Bitpalace, because a lot of storage space, backup storage space and additional computing power have to be provided and can therefore only be set up at an additional cost.
